Robert Plant and Alison Krauss Start Tour in Kentucky at the Louisville Palace Theatre

While there may be no Led Zeppelin world tour materializing there has been a lot of buzz surrounding the announced tour of frontman Robert Plant and incredible vocalist Alison Krauss. Their first U.S. show will be on April 20 at the Louisville Palace Theatre in Kentucky and will be followed with stops in Knoxville and Chattanooga, TN before hitting the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on April 25.

The two recently announced they would be touring to support their Raising Sand album that was released on October 23, 2007. The album debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart and was ranked #24 by Rolling Stone in their Top 50 Albums of 2007.

Following their show in Alabama on April 26 Plant and Krauss will hit Europe for a series of shows as well.

While Plant and Krauss are expected to play several of the songs off Raising Sand they will also perform many of their own singles from their catalog.
