Attack on China Kindergarten Leaves 9 Dead

An attack on a kindergarten in China left 9 dead and 11 injured. A 48-year-old man with a kitchen cleaver entered the private school in Shaanxi province Wednesday and attacked a class.

The teacher and seven students were killed. The teacher’s mother was wounded in the attack and later died at a hospital. The man, who has not been identified, committed suicide at his home. The reason for the attack is not clear.

Four other similar attacks on China schools have occurred in the last month.
