Beau Biden Suffers Mild Stroke, Expected to Make Full Recovery

Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden suffered a mild stroke, according to Dr. Timothy Gardner of Christiana Hospital. Gardner, the medical director of the Center for Heart and Vascular Surgery at the hospital, said Biden is expected to make a “complete recovery.”

“He is in good spirits and talking with his family at the hospital. He is fully alert, in stable condition and has full motor and speech skills,” Gardner said in a statement.

Biden, the son of Vice President Joe Biden, has been transferred to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia “for further observation and examination,” according to the vice president’s office.
