Netintelligence, the software as a service innovator, is delighted to announce that it has been shortlisted as a finalist in two separate prestigious UK Awards events. The company has scooped two nominations for its ground breaking Ni Mobile Content Manager solution, designed in partnership with the Carphone Warehouse plc.
Ni Mobile Content Manager has received a Best Product of the Year nomination in the Network Computing Awards, and the co-operation shown between the two companies has been recognised with a Partnering for Innovation nomination in the UK Technology Growth & Innovation Awards.
Netintelligence’s Mobile Content Manager was developed to assist Carphone Warehouse process handsets that were returned to them, either as part of contractual agreements or for repair. These phones are processed manually by either fixing the fault, re-installing/upgrading the software or just checking the handsets for cosmetic faults.
Netintelligence developed an automated method of testing the handsets for previous customer data, and ensuring the handset is returned to a clean ‘factory setting’ state.
A record is kept of the test and the content of the phone. This provides the mobile operator with an auditable record that can be used to challenge any future assertions that the refurbishment process failed.
Phil Worms, Netintelligence’s Director Product & Marketing, said: “Mobile Content Manager was very much a collaborative effort. By combining our technical expertise with Carphone’s market knowledge we have delivered a practical solution to a long standing mobile industry problem, and it’s fantastic that our joint efforts have been formally recognised in this way”.
Netintelligence and Carphone Warehouse were the proud recipients of a British Computing Society Medal for Business to Business Project Excellence in December 2007.
iomart, the data centre and complex hosting specialist sister company of Netintelligence, also received a Managed Service Provider of the Year nomination in the Network Computing Awards.
The winners of the Network Computing Awards will be announced at a gala event to be held at London’s Tower Hotel on Thursday March 13th 2008. The UK Technology Innovation & Growth Awards 2008 winners will be unveiled on Tuesday 18th March at the London Hilton Metropole.
