Top Consumer Goods Stocks Moving Up in Morning Session (Ford, XRX, SLE, CSTR, AVP, GT)

Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) increased 0.87% to $12.79. Reuters reported that Ford Motor Company and its China venture partners, Mazda Motor Corporation and Chongqing Changan Automobile Company Ltd are seeking Chinese government approval to end their three way tie up. Ford and Mazda both plan to set up their own separate joint ventures with Chongqing Changan Automobile Company Ltd, a move which will give the automakers more leeway to design their own China strategies.  Over the last 52 weeks the stock has ranged from a low of $4.71 to a high of $14.57.

Xerox Corporation (NYSE:XRX) added 2.45% to $10.44 after it has expanded the workflow options available on its high-end digital color presses – opening revenue opportunities and improving productivity for print service providers. Over the last 52 weeks the stock has ranged from a low of $5.86 to a high of $11.72.     

Sara Lee Corp. (NYSE:SLE) climbed 1.46% to $14.56. The company announced that it has agreed to sell its 51% stake in the Godrej Sara Lee Ltd. joint venture to Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. for EUR185 million. The transaction, is anticipated to close before the end of Sara Lee`s fiscal year on July 3, 2010. The stock today also touched a new 52 week high at $14.58.   

Coinstar, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSTR) jumped 5.89% to $57.17. The stock today also touched a new 52 week high at $57.93.           

Avon Products, Inc. (NYSE:AVP) advanced 1.02% to $28.82. Over the last 52 weeks the stock has ranged from a low of $22.10 to a high of $36.39.        

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company (NYSE:GT) rose 2.28% to $13.45.
