Black Eyed Peas singer Will.i.am brought together a few celebrity friends in support of Sen. Barack Obama and made a video based on his speech, best known for his catch phrase "Yes We Can".
The video shows several celebrities such as Will.i.am, Scarlett Johansson, Nick Cannon, Common and John Legend singing the words of Obama's speech. The visual shots of Obama and the auditory clips of his speech are taken from when he delivered the speech in Nashua, N.H. during the New Hampshire primaries.
TV actress Kate Walsh and NBA Hall-of-Fame center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar also joined in the song.
The song was created by Will.i.am and the video was directed by Bob Dylan's son, Jesse. Will.i.am said that the speech he gave in New Hampshire was very inspirational and reminiscent of Martin Luther King, John F. Kennedy and Abraham Lincoln
Obama, who also ran an advertisement during last weekend’s Super Bowl, has already received high-profile endorsements from the actors Robert de Niro, George Clooney and Matt Damon, singer Stevie Wonder, and TV mogul Oprah Winfrey.
Maria Shriver, member of the Kennedy family and wife of California's Republican governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, is also supporting Obama, joining her cousin Caroline Kennedy and uncle Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-MA).
