Construction Banned on Tropical Island

Construction on a Philippines island has been banned until development becomes environmentally friendly.  Officials announced the ban in an attempt to preserve the island which is often thought of as a tropical paradise.

As of lately, an increase in tourists has lead thousands of workers to Borocay causing overpopulation which is straining the sewage and water systems.

100 shops, hotels and restaurants there were unfinished were granted permission to continue construction.
