Top Graduation Gift: Academic Summer Camp

Enrollments at summer camps are rising with the temperature. With temperatures in some parts of the country in the 90's, it's not hard to tell that summer is just around the corner. Maybe that explains why enrollments at SuperCamp are going through the roof the last couple of weeks.

"I think parents know that if they leave it until early June, there's a very good chance their son or daughter won't be able to get into one of our camps," says Ruth Everette, sales manager for SuperCamp. "Our academic summer camps appeal to a broad range of families because we provide teens and pre-teens with learning skills and life skills that help them in school and in their everyday lives."

A word to the wise - don't wait any longer. SuperCamp expects over 3,000 students to enroll this summer, which means every camp will be filled to capacity. With so many SuperCamp campers from previous years re-enrolled for 2009, the enrollment numbers were already very high in April.

SuperCamp academic summer camps are now in their twenty-ninth year. Parents are seeing the value of balancing down time in the summer with some enrichment, particularly given the need to enhance a student's ability to excel in high school and in college entrance exams.

One parent of a recent SuperCamp graduate said, "I was anxious to see what exactly was going to be done. SuperCamp gave my daughter the tools to improve not only her grades but also her attitude. She emerged a motivated "can't wait to learn more" teenager. Better attitude, better self-motivation, more self-esteem and the bonus... better grades."

One of the reasons SuperCamp has such a high repeat rate among campers is that the kids who attend learn while having fun. The dynamic, engaging SuperCamp facilitators and team leaders keep the days and evenings alive with learning and breakthrough moments for the campers. By the end of the 7-day and 10-day program, the kids can’t wait to come back next summer for more.
