(NASDAQ:ABIO) is up 28.57% to $5.47 after today announced that it has reached agreement with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regarding a Special Protocol Assessment (SPA) on the design of a clinical trial to assess the safety and efficacy of bucindolol in approximately 3,200 patients with chronic heart failure who have the genotype that appears to respond most favorably to bucindolol.

Netlist, Inc. (NASDAQ:NLST) soared 10.22% to $3.02 after today announced that it has reached a settlement in the misappropriation of trade secrets and breach of contract lawsuit against Texas Instruments, Incorporated.

Pactiv Corporation (NYSE:PTV) surged 21% to $28.98 after the Lake Forest, Ill., maker of consumer and industrial packaging including Hefty brand bags, is discussing a leveraged buyout with the Chicago private-equity firm Apollo Global Management, people familiar with the situation told The Wall Street Journal.

GLG Partners, Inc. (NYSE:GLG) soared 48%  to $4.31 after U.K. hedge fund manager Man Group said Monday that it has agreed to buy GLG for $1.6 billion in a deal that will created a firm with around $63 billion of funds under management.
