Healthcare Stocks Mostly Down (OSIP, PSYS, PFE, MRK, BMY)

OSI Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:OSIP) drops 4.13% to $57.33 on 2.10 million shares. Astellas Pharma, Japan's No.2 drugmaker, agreed to buy U.S. biotech OSI Pharmaceuticals  for $4 billion in cash in a sweetened bid that will add OSI's blockbuster cancer drug Tarceva to its line-up. Astellas will pay $57.50 per OSI share, 11 percent more than a previously proposed $52.

Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ:PSYS) lost 0.49% to $32.47 on 5.25 million shares. Universal Health Services, Inc. and Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. announced that they have reached a definitive agreement whereby UHS will acquire PSI for a price of $33.75 per share in cash, or approximately $2.0 billion.

Pfizer Inc. (NYSE:PFE) slid 0.49% to $16.12.

Merck & Co., Inc. (NYSE:MRK) decreases 0.03% to $32.87.

Bristol Myers Squibb Co. (NYSE:BMY) is up 1.27% to $23.86.
