NHL Playoffs Schedule Tuesday May 18: Philadelphia Flyers Shooting for 2-0 Lead on Montreal Canadiens, Chicago Blackhawks Looking for Same Against San Jose Sharks

The NHL playoffs schedule for Tuesday includes both an Eastern Conference Finals showdown between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Montreal Canadiens as well as a Western Conference Finals meeting between the San Jose Sharks and Chicago Blackhawks.

The puck will drop first in Philly as the Flyers are gunning for a 2-0 series lead in their best-of-seven matchup with the Canadiens. Philadelphia blasted Montreal in Game 1 as an offensive explosion led to a 6-0 win on Sunday. Philly had six different goal scorers in the game as they knocked Jaroslav Halak from goal and the Montreal goalie will be looking for redemption on Tuesday.

After dropping their first game in each of the first two rounds the Chicago Blackhawks went on the road and took Game 1 against the San Jose Sharks in the Western Conference Finals. While Dustin Byfuglien scored the decider with just under seven minutes left in the third period it was Antti Niemi and his 44 saves that secured the win for Chicago. The Sharks high-powered offense will need to find some answers on Tuesday knowing they can’t afford to fall behind 0-2 heading to Chicago.
