Look At Life, a New York based art collective founded by O.A.R. bassist Benj Gershman, is producing an exhibition to honor and benefit Operation Smile, a worldwide children’s medical charity dedicated to helping improve the health and lives of children and young adults born with facial deformities. Gershman serves as one of the charity’s Smile Ambassadors and traveled on an Operation Smile medical mission to Peru in May 2007. The exhibit will feature selected photography from 27 Operation Smile volunteer professional photographers who participated in the organization’s 25th Anniversary initiative World Journey of Smiles, 40 simultaneous medical missions in 25 countries worldwide, which took place November 7-16, 2007. Admission to the exhibit’s opening reception on Thursday, February 28 is a $50 donation to Operation Smile. The photography exhibit at Splashlight Studios in New York City will remain open to the public February 26 through March 3. This photo exhibition will depict how more than 4,000 children’s lives were changed forever in a 10-day period. This exhibit will also show the process of Operation Smile’s medical missions through the eyes of the photographers who donate their time, talent and resources to the charity.
