Kanye West, Amy Winehouse Leads List of Grammy Nominees for Album of the Year

Kanye West and Amy Winehouse lead the list of nominees for the Album of the Year at the 2008 Grammy Awards, which will be held on Sunday.

The 50th Annual Grammy Awards will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and will air at 8pm on CBS.

West is nominated for his third album Graduation, while Winehouse is a nominee for her debut album Back to Black. West has six Grammys with just two albums, being nominated for Album of the Year for both The College Dropout (2005) and Late Registration (2006).

Foo Fighters, Vince Gill and Herbie Hancock round of the list of nominees.

Although the Foo Fighters have four Grammys, this is their first time being nominated for Album of the Year. Gill, who was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2007, and Hancock also have not been nominated for this category before.

Veterans Gill and Hancock have won 13 and 10 Grammys, respectively.
