Video Game May have Sparked Marine’s Disappearance

Shortly after playing a video game entitled “Call of Duty” an ex-Marine vanished from a relative’s house in Florida and hasn’t been spotted since.

Eric Hall had been staying with a relative on Feb. 3 when he finished playing the video game and said he had leave. Hall then walked out of the house, jumped on his motorcycle and hasn’t been since.

Charlotte County Police found Hall’s motorcycle on a roadside, still running, but have not been able to locate him.

It is believed “Call of Duty,” a video game depicting graphic scenes of combat, may have triggered memories for Hall. The 24-year-old was granted medical retirement in June 2005 after he was seriously injured by a bomb blast in Iraq.

Authorities and family had planned a search for Sunday but many feel that Hall may revert back to his Marine training and remain hidden if that is what he wants.
