Robert Plant and Alison Krauss Tour to Hit Tennessee, Perform at Knoxville Coliseum on April 22

Legendary rock frontman Robert Plant will be teaming up with Alison Krauss for a brief tour of the U.S. and on April 22 the pair will be in Knoxville, TN performing at the Knoxville Coliseum. The show will follow their opening date in Louisville, Kentucky two days earlier.

Following their Knoxville show Plant and Krauss will remain in Tennessee for a show in Chattanooga the next night and then will perform at the Jazz & Heritage Festival in New Orleans on April 25. The U.S side of the tour will end in Birmingham, Alabama on April 26 and the two will then hit Birmingham, England in the beginning of May.

The two recently announced they would be touring to support their Raising Sand album that was released on October 23, 2007. The album debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart and was ranked #24 by Rolling Stone in their Top 50 Albums of 2007.

Following their show in Alabama on April 26 Plant and Krauss will hit Europe for a series of shows as well.

While Plant and Krauss are expected to play several of the songs off Raising Sand they will also perform many of their own singles from their catalog.

There has been a lot of speculation surrounding a potential Led Zeppelin reunion tour following the incredibly successful show they put on in December at the O2 Arena in London but the likelihood of that happening remains slim.
