Hillary Clinton Shuffles Staff after Campaign Manager Resigns

Hillary Clinton was forced to replace a key member of her campaign team on Sunday after campaign manager Patti Solis Doyle resigned from the post. Clinton turned to longtime adviser Maggie Williams to fill the vacancy.

Doyle’s decision to step down could be a serious blow to the Clinton Democratic presidential campaign as the former campaign manager was one of the most visible Hispanic-American members of Clinton’s staff. Clinton has been trying to secure the Latino vote and with Doyle stepping down achieving that goal could be difficult.

FOX reported a memo sent by Doyle to Clinton staff members that read “This has already been the longest presidential campaign in the history of our nation, and one that has required enormous sacrifices from all of us and our families. I have been proud to manage this campaign, and prouder still to call Hillary my friend for more than 16 years.  I know that she will make a great president.”

While Doyle has stepped down as campaign manager she will remain as a senior adviser to the Clinton campaign.
