Pfizer Inc. (NYSE:PFE) slid 2.02% to $15.50. Earlier this week, Dow Jones reported that Pfizer is likely to buy a controlling stake in India's Piramal Healthcare Ltd. in a $1.50 billion-$1.80 billion deal. Talks between the two companies are in the final stages, adding that Pfizer is likely to pay INR725 a share for the stake.

Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) lost 1.64% to $61.20 on 3.23 million shares. 

 

Merck & Co., Inc. (NYSE:MRK) declines 0.98% to $32.30 on 4.77 million shares.

 

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (ADR) (NASDAQ:TEVA) falls 0.20% to $55.27. Teva said Tuesday that it entered an agreement covering its generic version of AstraZeneca's Entocort treatment for Crohn's disease. Under a license from AstraZeneca, Teva will be able to enter the U.S. market with its generic version on Feb. 15, 2012, or earlier under certain circumstances.

 

Boston Scientific Corporation (NYSE:BSX) decreases 3.73% to $6.45.
