Narconon Drug Rehab Starts Support Group

Family Members of Any Drug Addict Invited to Join

Narconon of Georgia Drug Rehab is offering a free course for friends and families of drug addicts.  Until recently, this drug education course was only available for families of Narconon students.  Narconon announced today that the Narconon Friend and Family Support Course is now available to anyone who has a drug abuser in their life.

The course covers the tell tale signs of major drugs of abuse, how an drug addict becomes one, communication skills that can be used with a drug abuser under the toughest of circumstances, and ways to intervene as a family or group of friends when someone needs drug treatment or drug rehab.

The public is invited to the Narconon of Georgia Drug Rehab facility to take the course and learn practical application for their specific situation.   For those who find it impossible to make it to the Narconon, the materials will be made available, along with online and live help from our staff.

The Executive Director of Narconon of Georgia, Ms. Mary Rieser explained; “There are many families who are in denial because they simply do not know what to do about drug addiction, so they pretend it doesn’t exist. If they do recognize there is a problem and start researching the web about addiction and treatment, it can be very confusing.  We want to provide stability in what is otherwise a very confusing set of circumstances for anyone who has never dealt with drug addiction.  We have the ability to help and the resources to give it.”

Narconon joins the ranks of several organizations that offer support groups to families of drug abusers.

Ms. Rieser explained, "We are a non-traditional drug abuse treatment program, with a 76% success rate. We know how to deal with drug addicts, get them off drugs and keep them off drugs. However, we want others to have this information so we can help them stop this problem before it becomes a life-threatening situation."

Anyone interested in signing up for this course can call 877-413-3073 and ask for Gordon Weinand.

The Narconon program provides body detoxification through a sauna and exercise program that recovering drug addicts report helps to eliminate or reduce cravings. The recovering drug addict then learns those life skills essential to success in life and the ability to stay clean.  They graduate from Narconon with a life plan and continued support to make sure they make it in life.
