Hillary Clinton Faces Off Against Barack Obama in Battle of Potomac States

With three primaries on Tuesday the battle for the Democratic nomination could take a defining turn as Hillary Clinton tries to halt the recent momentum built by rival Barack Obama.

Obama, coming off a weekend sweep of primaries and caucuses, is looking to grab the lead in the Democratic race after the Clinton campaign appeared to hit a major snag. Following weekend loses in Louisiana, Nebraska, Washington state, Maine and the Virgin Islands Clinton saw her campaign manager Patti Solis Doyle step down and it may get worse for Clinton before it gets better.

The New York senator is likely to lose her delegates lead on Tuesday as Obama is polling ahead of her in Maryland, Virginia and Washington D.C.

Clinton has apparently conceded another sweep on Tuesday but has turned her attention to the March 4 primaries that features the key states of Texas and Ohio.

Clinton currently holds a 1,147 to 1,127 lead over Obama in delegates.
