A magnitude 6.6 earthquake shook southern Mexico early Tuesday morning, sending residents running into the streets in fear of collapsing homes and buildings.
The tremor struck about 70 miles southwest of Tuxtla Gutierrez at 7:50 a.m. EST.
There have been no reports of injuries or major damage yet the fear of aftershocks has kept many residents weary.
