Massive Accidents on Fresno's Highway 99 Tuesday Due To Fog

A massive car pile-up in Fresno, CA Tuesday caused accidents involving over 40 vehicles.

The multiple accidents occured on Highway 99 between Fresno and Tulare Tuesday morning due to heavy fog.

There is at least one very serious accident in the Kingsburg area at the Bethel and Sierra crossings near Mountain View, with several big rigs and at least 40 other vehicles. There are multiple injuries and pin-ins at the scene. Another one is on southbound 99 at Kamm Avenue near Selma, but there are also numerous smaller accidents up and down the highway.

Northbound Highway 99 is moving, but the southbound lanes can expect long delays until at least noon and California Highway Patrol is diverting traffic.
