The company posted second-quarter results that raced past market estimates, helped by higher order rates and a favorable effect of currency translation. It forecast third-quarter earnings of $1.08 to $1.18 a share, on revenue of $259 million to $267 million. For the second quarter, the company reported net income of $32.4 million, or 94 cents a share, compared with $13.8 million, or 41 cents a share, a year ago.
