IHRIM announces Third Annual Texas Talent Management & HR Systems Regional Expo

HR and technology professionals throughout the Southwest will gather to network and participate in the region’s largest HR technology event of the year. The third annual IHRIM Texas Talent Management & HR Systems Regional Expo will take place Thursday, March 6 from 7:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Frisco Convention Center in Frisco, Texas, a suburb just north of Dallas.

Registration for the event is currently open, and early-bird pricing ends Feb. 20, 2008.

The Expo will include keynote addresses on leveraging technology to enable strategic talent management by Jim Holincheck, research vice president at Gartner, and IHRIM’s 2008 HR technology forecast by Jacqueline Kuhn, senior director of corporate and administrative systems at OfficeMax and chairman of the IHRIM board.

Another exciting aspect of this event is the morning Talent Management Systems (TMS) Suites Vendor Challenge and the afternoon HCM Vendor Challenge. Both sessions will be moderated panel discussions with the morning session including such notable vendors as Authoria, Cornerstone OnDemand, Plateau, SuccessFactors, Taleo and Vurv, and the afternoon session including ExponentHR, Oracle, SAP, Ultimate Software and Workday. There will also be a reception for cocktails and networking at the end of the day.

Included in this day-long event are educational sessions on creating a successful HR technology strategic plan, transitioning from recruiting to strategic talent acquisition, developing a proactive communication strategy for talent acquisition and real stories of pay for performance.

“This is the must-attend HR expo of the year here in Texas,” said Cathy Vilaga, president of IHRIM’s Dallas/Fort Worth chapter and co-chair of the Expo. “Early interest in this conference has been very high as evidenced by the quality sessions and vendors that will be in attendance. Anybody looking to make HR technology decisions in the future should think seriously about attending this event, along with other decision makers and co-workers from their companies.”

Exhibitors at the Expo, sponsored by Oracle, include Aquire, Authoria, Cornerstone OnDemand, ERE, First Advantage, HCI, HRchitect, IHRIM, KM Consulting Group, Starr Tincup, SuccessFactors, Ultimate Software, Vurv and Workscape. Other sponsors of the Expo include SAP, Taleo, ExponentHR, Plateau, Bigby Havis and Workday.

“Due to the generosity of our excellent sponsors, we were able to keep this exciting event extremely affordable,” said Rick Fletcher, president of HRchitect and co-chair of the Expo. “Not only will attendees get to spend the day in a beautiful new conference center, but where else can you go to a day-long conference and hear 19 nationally renowned speakers and network with so many industry-leading vendors?”

As an added incentive to attend, the first 100 registered attendees will also receive a complimentary copy of HRchitect’s forthcoming “The Suite Life of Integrated Talent Management” report, a $495 value.
