Baltimore Police Officer Suspended after Incident with Skateboarder

A Baltimore Police officer has been suspended following an incident in which he was caught on tape shouting at a skateboarder and then throwing the young kid to the ground.

The confrontation was caught on tape and shows officer Salvatore Rivieri, a 17-year-veteran of the Baltimore Police Department, displaying aggressive behavior when dealing with the kids who had been skating at the Inner Harbor.

In the video Rivieri is heard telling one of the boys, “You hear me, I'm not your father. You give that attitude to your father. You give it to me, I'll smack you upside your head... Shut your mouth I'm talking.”

After the video surfaced Rivieri was suspended with pay while an internal investigation is launched.
