New York psychologist Kathryn Faughey died in her Manhattan office Tuesday after being hacked to death with a meat cleaver. A male therapist, who has not been identified, attempted to help Faughey during the attack. He suffered serious injuries and is currently in the hospital.
Authorities are searching for a male suspect. They have not said if the suspect is a patient of the 56-year-old psychologist. Faughey lived across the street from her Upper East Side office on East 79th Street.
