Robert Plant and Alison Krauss to Perform at Louisville Palace April 19

Robert Plant and Alison Kraus will be performing live at Louisville Palace in Louisville Kentucky April 19 at 8:00 pm.

Known as the lead vocalist for the English rock band, Led Zeppelin, Robert Plant has also established a successful solo career following the band’s break up in 1980, after the death of the band’s drummer, John Bonham.

Plant started his solo career with Pictures at Eleven (1982) which was soon followed by The Principle of Moments (1983).  Popular songs from those albums included “Big Log,” "In the Mood,” “Little by Little,” “Tall Cool One” and “I Believe.”  He later continued to work with Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck to form The Honeydrippers.  Together the group recorded a #3 hit remaking of the Phil Phillips song, “Sea of Love.”

Alison Kraus signed with Rounder Records in 1985, releasing her first solo album in 1987.  She is a well known American bluegrass country singer and fiddle player.

Kraus has been featured on Cold Mountain soundtrack as well as the Grammy winning film, O Brother, Where Art Thou?

Louisville Palace is located in downtown Louisville Kentucky within the city’s unofficial theater district.  The facility, designed by John Eberson, was erected in 1928 and can accommodate 2,700 guests.
