NHL Playoffs Schedule Sunday May 23: Chicago Blackhawks Look to Close Out San Jose Sharks, Earn Ticket to Stanley Cup Finals

The NHL playoffs have just one game on the slate for Sunday but it could result in the first team to earn their ticket to the Stanley Cup Finals as the Chicago Blackhawks host the San Jose Sharks with a commanding 3-0 lead in their best-of-seven series.

Chicago managed to take the first two games of the series in San Jose and then grabbed an overtime win back on their home ice for a 3-0 series lead. The Blackhawks have neutralized the speed and offensive power of the Sharks while countering with their own speed to stun San Jose.

The Blackhawks are trying to return to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time since 1991-92, a series in which they lost in four straight to the Pittsburgh Penguins. Chicago hasn’t hoisted the Stanley Cup since the 1960-61 season.
