Neil Young to Perform at the Edinburgh Playhouse March 3

Neil Young will be performing live at the Edinburgh Playhouse in the United Kingdom on March 3 at 7:30 pm.

A Canadian singer, songwriter, guitarist, pianist and film director, Neil Young is known for his deep lyrics, distinctive guitar work, his signature nasal tenor voice and his folk like acoustic rock style music, such as in “Heart of Gold,” “Harvest Moon” and “Old Man” as well as his electric hard rock heard in “Cinnamon Girl,” Rockin’ in the Free World” and “Hey Hey My My (Into the Black).”  Young has directed several films under the name Bernard Shakey.  His films included Journey Through the Past (1973), Rust Never Sleeps (1979), Human Highway (1982) and Greendale (2003).

Young will be touring through Europe this year visiting the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Denmark and the United Kingdom.

Located in Edinburgh, Scotland, the Edinburgh Playhouse hosts several touring musicals and bands throughout the year.  Owned by Live Nation, the facility, which holds 3,056, is the United Kingdom’s largest theatre.

The venue has seen performances by Ross Noble, Girls Aloud, Tracey Chapman, Alice Cooper, Journey, McFly, Crosby Stills and Nash, Bottom Live, Michael Ball, Riverdance, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Roy Chubby Brown, Lee Evans, The Sinceros and Hall and Oates.
