Bobby Cutts Jr. Facing Death Penalty After Being Found Guilty of Aggravated Murder in Death of Jessie Marie Davis’ Unborn Child

Bobby Cutts Jr. was found guilty of aggravated murder charges related to the death of the unborn child of Jessie Marie Davis but was found not guilty on the charge of aggravated murder relating to the death of Davis herself. While Cutts avoided the aggravated murder charge related to Davis’ death jurors did find him guilty of a lesser charge of murder in her death.

The guilty verdict relating to aggravated murder charge now means Cutts will be facing the death penalty when sentencing is determined.

Cutts, 30, admitted on the stand that he had accidentally killed Davis, 26, with an inadvertent blow to the throat. Sobbing throughout his testimony Cutts, a former Canton, Ohio police officer, gave a detailed account of how he had tried to free his arm from Davis’ grip when he struck her in the throat.

After failing to find a pulse he then tried to revive her with bleach but there was no response.  He then wrapped her body in a comforter, placed the body in the back of his truck and dumped the body in a field.
