Bobby Cutts Jr. Found Guilty in Murder of Jesse Marie Davis

Bobby Cutts Jr. was found guilty today in the murder of his pregnant girlfriend Jesse Marie Davis and their unborn child. The jury found the former police officer guilty of aggravated murder in the unlawful termination of Davis’ pregnancy. He was found guilty of a lesser murder charge in the death of Davis.  Cutts, 30, could face the death penalty.

Cutts testified that he didn’t mean to kill Davis and claimed he accidentally elbowed her in the throat. He said he got aggravated after 26-year-old Davis, who was 8 months pregnant, wasn’t getting their 2-year-old son Blake ready fast enough. Cutts said he was leaving when she grabbed him to keep him from going. He claims that’s when he accidentally elbowed her in the throat, killing her.

“I didn’t mean to hurt her,” said a sobbing Cutts. He claims he attempted to perform CPR and tried to revive Davis with bleach. After realizing she was dead, Cutts said he panicked and put her body in his truck and dumped it in a park.

Prosecutors said Cutts was having trouble paying child support so he killed Davis and created a cover story to get away with the murder.
