Novak Djokovic battled his way past Evgeny Korolev in the first round of the 2010 French Open, earning a four set victory 6-1, 3-6, 6-1, 6-3 to move into the second round at Roland Garros.
Djokovic picked up the majority of his points with an efficient first serve that produced winners on 79 percent of those put in play. The Serb also had seven aces to counter his four double-faults. As for Korolev, it was too much to get past the 38 unforced errors and a 49% first serve effort.
Djokovic has won one Grand Slam singles title, the 2008 Australian Open and he reached the finals at the 2007 U.S. Open but fell to Roger Federer.
