Shooting Victim at Oxnard, California Junior High School Dies

The 15-year-old victim of a school shooting at the E.O. Green Junior High School in Oxnard, California has died.

A decision was made to take the Lawrence King off life-support after it had been determined he would remain brain-dead. The 14-year-old responsible for the shooting is now being held and could possibly face adult charges of murder and committing a hate crime.

King was believed to be targeted by the shooter because he often came to school in makeup and heels. After being shot in the head on Tuesday morning King was rushed to the St. John’s Regional Medical Center but it became clear that his injuries would leave him brain dead.
