2010 French Open Round 1 Results: Caroline Wozniacki Breezes Past Alla Kudryavtseva to Advance at Roland Garros

Caroline Wozniacki needed just over an hour to get her first match at the 2010 French Open over as she took care of Alla Kudryavtseva in straight sets 6-0, 6-3 to advance at Roland Garros.

Wozniacki was able to sit back and allow Kudryavtseva self-destruct as the Russian committed 21 unforced errors and collected points on just 38% of her first serves put in play. In contrast, Wozniacki committed just nine unforced errors and scored points on 69% of her first serves.

Wozniacki is coming off finals appearance at last year’s U.S. Open where she fell to Kim Clijsters and before that she reached the fourth round at Wimbledon before falling to Sabine Lisicki. The Dane has also reached the fourth round of the Australian Open while her best finish at the French Open was a third round appearance in 2008 and 2009.
