Simon Monjack Mother Reveals Health Problems

Months before his death, Simon Monjack’s mother revealed he was having health problems. In January, Linda Monjack told People magazine that her son was “unwell” and may have heart problems.

“On whether he has a heart problem it is not really for me to say, you must ask him, but yes, there have been health problems in the past. I believe it's common knowledge, and it’s been in the press that he had a slight heart attack a week from Brittany's death coming back from Puerto Rico,” she told People, adding that his doctors were “carrying out tests.”

Simon, 39, was found dead Sunday night in the Hollywood Hills home he shared with late wife Brittany Murphy. LAPD Sgt. Louie Lozano said the cause of death appears to be natural causes. Prescription drugs were found at the scene.

His sudden death comes five months after Murphy, 32, died of pneumonia, iron deficiency and drug intoxication. Read more on Simon Monjack’s death
