Brianna Denison Body Found, Killed by Serial Rapist

Police say they have found the body of 19-year-old college student Brianna Denison, who has been missing for nearly a month. Denison disappeared from a friend’s house in Reno, Nevada after a party.

Reno authorities say Denison was strangled by a serial rapist that has attacked at least two other women. Her body was found in a field located on the city’s south side. Denison’s body had been there for more than a week. Police say heavy snowfall may have delayed the discovery of her body.

“I would say this is a serial rapist. We have two, probably three [cases] linked through DNA,” said Reno Deputy Police Chief Jim Johns. “The totality of the information in this case leads us to believe it is a sexually motivated crime. I’m worried this guy is still out there, and I’m worried somebody else is going to get hurt.”

Police have linked Denison’s abduction and rape to two other attacks on women using DNA.
