North Korea to Sever All Ties with Seoul, Expel South Korean Workers

North Korea has announced it will be severing all ties it has with South Korea, adding further tension to a situation that could boil over into military action.

The North was responding to the South’s announcement on Sunday in which they said they were cutting off all trade with their neighbor. That decision came after an international report found the North responsible for the sinking of a South Korean warship two months ago.

While Pyongyang has denied any involvement in the sinking of the Cheonan an investigation found overwhelming evidence that supported the accusations.

North Korea has since threatened military action if any action was taken against them and on Tuesday they announced all communication with the South would end and it was banning South Korean ships and planes from entering its waterways as well as its airspace.
