The American Public Health Association would like to thank our members, partners, Annual Meeting exhibitors and attendees for their support of the 133rd APHA Annual Meeting & Exposition recently held in Philadelphia. We greatly appreciate the patience and understanding we received as we worked to move our Annual Meeting from New Orleans to Philadelphia in the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. It was only the second time in APHA’s history that the organization has postponed its Annual Meeting, but you, our members and partners, persevered to make this a successful conference that addressed the aftermath of the hurricanes and other emerging and chronic public health challenges. This gathering is essential to emboldening and equipping our community to further improve and protect the public’s health. While we know the conference’s move inhibited some of you from attending, our steadfast members were in Philadelphia in spirit. We thank you for your support, and we look forward to seeing all of you in Boston in 2006.
