Tilda Swinton Nominated for Actress in a Supporting Role in “Michael Clayton” at 80TH Academy Awards

Tilda Swinton will be looking to win her first Oscar Award on Feb. 24 after earning a nomination for Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance in the film “Michael Clayton.”

 

Swinton plays the role of a calculated corporate attorney who represents a disreputable company involved in a multimillion dollar lawsuit.

 

This is Swinton’s first Academy Award nomination.

 

Joining Tilda Swinton in the list of nominees for Actress in a Supporting Role are Cate Blanchett, “I’m Not There”; Ruby Dee, “American Gangster”; Saoirse Ronan, “Atonement”; and Amy Ryan, “Gone Baby Gone.”

 

The 80th Academy Awards will air Feb. 24 at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
