2010 French Open Round 2 Results: Caroline Wozniacki Continues to Cruise, Beats Tathiana Garbin in Straight Sets to Advance

Caroline Wozniacki had a short days work at the French Open on Wednesday, knocking off Italy’s Tathiana Garbin in straight sets 6-3, 6-1 to advance into the third round at Roland Garros.

Wozniacki needed just over an hour to complete her second two-set victory of the 2010 French Open, committing just six unforced errors while pounding out 26 winners. The Dane also won points on 70 percent of her first serves put in play and a staggering 76 percent of her second serves put in play.

Wozniacki is coming off finals appearance at last year’s U.S. Open where she fell to Kim Clijsters and before that she reached the fourth round at Wimbledon before falling to Sabine Lisicki. The Dane has also reached the fourth round of the Australian Open while her best finish at the French Open was a third round appearance in 2008 and 2009.
