National Debt Passes $13 Trillion

“Professional Politicians” are the problem, says Tim Cox

May 26, 2010 will be remembered as the day the national debt exceeded $13 Trillion Dollars, an amount of money almost unimaginable to the human mind, and equal to $42,026 per man, woman and child in the United States (309 million persons).  The interest on the debt alone is $2,211 per citizen.  The popular website, Zazzle, is tackling the problem of the moving target debt with a non-specific message on its tshirts, “I own shares in the national debt” to ensure its inventory won’t become outdated.

Get Out of Our House founder, Tim Cox, blames “professional politicians”, who were unwilling to make the hard choices required, for the ever-rising debt.  These holders of House seats, responsible for spending bills, were happy to be generous with other people’s money if it would gain them additional votes in the next election.

GOOOH (pronounced “go”) is a non-partisan plan to select citizen candidates for the House of Representatives chosen openly, without ties to special interests or political parties. GOOOH candidates pledge to vote as their answers to 100 survey questions indicate, and commit to serve no more than two terms in the Congress (term limits).  GOOOH members can complete their own survey of significant issues and core beliefs at www.goooh.com.

A cutting edge, non-partisan, nationwide media campaign will send the message that GOOOH candidates were selected from within the district for their personal strengths, not their capacity to fundraise.  See How the Process Works on the GOOOH website.

Cox will speak June 17th on a Constitution Party conference call.  Constitution Party Chairman Jim Clymer urged members to support the GOOOH plan, which will “break the duopoly of the two major parties and will allow those truly committed to Constitutional governance a chance to compete in the marketplace of ideas.”
