At G&G Holistic, we refer to those participating in our drug rehab program as a client, not a patient. We do this because we feel that each of these words have different implications.
For example, a person hearing the word the word “patient” may immediately assume that he has no control over the treatment options in the rehab program. This is not true at G&G Holistic Drug Rehab; the client works with the staff to determine the treatment methods that will best suit his individual needs.
A person who feels that staff members consider him a patient, rather than a client, may feel (erroneously) that that’s all he is, is another patient. Anything the staff does for him is seen as a favor, or simply a matter of carrying out their duties and responsibilities. The staff at G&G Holistic Drug Rehab does not have that attitude. If one does display that attitude, and you are a client in our drug rehab program, please let us know immediately. We will take steps to rectify the matter.
Another reason we do not consider out clients patients is because very often that word itself implies physical sickness. You may feel that way about your addiction, and if you do, we respect that. But, you’re still going to be a client to us, not a patient. As a client at G&G Holistic Drug Rehab, we are here to serve you. We want to help you and are glad to provide the treatment and support that we do.
We consider you more than a patient or a client, however; we consider you a person. Referring to you as one of our clients conveys that to you, which we hope will strengthen the bond between you and the others involved in your drug rehab program.
You are our client, not our patient. We are all in this recovery process together, because we feel that is the only way your rehab program is going to succeed. If you need help for a drug addiction, we hope you will become our client. Please visit our website at http://www.holisticdrugrehab.com/ or call 1-800-559-9503 for more information.
