Radiohead to Perform Live the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre May 9

Radiohead will be performing live at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Charlotte on May 9 at 7:30 pm.

Fronted by Thom Yorke, the English alternative rock band from Oxfordshire first came out with their first single, “Creep” in 1992 and then their debut album, Pablo Honey in ’93. Despite the group’s unsuccessful start, “Creep” became a worldwide hit a year after its release. The band continued to release seven albums in total throughout their career and sold over 23 million records.

Radiohead albums include The Bends (1995), OK Computer (1997), Kid A (2000), Amnesiac (2001), Hail to the Thief (2003) and In Rainbows (2007).

An outdoor amphitheatre, the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre Charlotte is located just outside of Charlotte in North Carolina.  Originally the Blockbuster Pavilion, the facility was opened in 1991, replacing the Paladium Amphitheater at Carowinds.  The venue is operated by Live Nation and specializes in large events.
