Stating, “No one is better to lead our nation in these trying times than Senator John McCain,” Bush may have injected McCain’s campaign with a necessary boost in conservative support, something that has been lacking throughout the nomination process.
While the endorsement from Bush may help his conservative cause it could also help clear up the Republican picture by pushing Mike Huckabee closer to a withdrawal from the race.
