The eBay boycott begins Monday and will last a week after the website announced that sellers will no longer have the ability to leave negative feedback for buyers, as well as a new fee structure.
Instead of posting negative feedback, sellers will now be required to go through a tedious process of filing complaints through eBay's Security & Resolution Center.
Following the announcement from eBay, hundreds of eBay's big sellers joined together and declared a boycott on the web auction company. The strike is set to last for a week.
The boycott is more about not having the ability to leave negative feedback than it is about the new fee structure. Not giving negative feedback allows for more scams and does not give the buyers the knowledge needed to make good purchases.
The group of eBay's big sellers have created a website called "Power Sellers Unite", discussing the reasons for their strike. The site is located at http://www.powersellersunite.com.
