French Open 2010 Round 3 Results: Roger Federer Moves into Fourth Round, Cruises Past Julian Reister in Straight Sets

Roger Federer doesn’t appear to be content with just 16 career Grand Slam titles, dusting off Julian Reister in straight sets 6-4, 6-0, 6-4 on Friday to advance into the fourth round at the French Open in Roland Garros.

Federer controlled the match with a commanding serve as he collected points on 88 percent of his first serves put in play and didn’t allow Reister a single break point opportunity. Federer also had 34 winners compared to just ten for Reister and he broke the German’s serve five times.

Federer is coming off his fourth career Australian Open title and owns a career Grand Slam having won his first French Open title last year to go along with his five U.S. Open titles and six Wimbledon titles. Federer’s 16 Grand Slam singles titles are most of any male player.
