Officials are blaming Maoist rebels for a deadly train collision in eastern India that has killed at least 71 people and left nearly 150 injured.
According to reports the Maoists removed a section of the track on which a Calcutta to Mumbai passenger train was travelling, causing the train to derail and collide with a second train in West Bengal.
As the passenger train came off the track it was thrown in front of a train carrying goods, sending cars toppling over one and other while tossing passengers in every direction. Many of those passengers remain trapped in the wreckage and officials have said they expect the death toll to rise.
Authorities have already said Maoist rebels have claimed responsibility for the sabotage, having left posters near the area of the crash that indicated it was their work.
