Teen Summer Camps Now Offered Nationwide by SuperCamp

Teen summer camps are popular, not only with teens, but with their parents, as well. In the case of SuperCamp’s teen summer camps, teen love the 10-day residential program that takes place at college campuses nationwide. Parents love the new confidence and greater motivation their kids return home with following the 10 days.

A study with over 6,000 graduates of SuperCamp reveals that 73 percent of graduates report achieving higher grades after attending SuperCamp. A remarkable 98 percent of graduates indicate they continue to use the skills they learned following camp, 84 percent say their self-esteem improved and 81 percent note an increase in confidence.

There are two reasons why SuperCamp achieves these results, according to SuperCamp co-founder, Bobbi DePorter. “First, at SuperCamp, kids learn how to learn. We give them the tools to read and write better, study more effectively, and problem solve,” said DePorter. “Second, we create a series of mini-success moments for each kid, so they leave SuperCamp feeling more comfortable with who they are and more confident in their ability to succeed at anything they put their minds to.”

Based on accelerated learning methods that Ms. DePorter first applied with entrepreneurs almost 30 years ago, SuperCamp is an intensive residential summer program that has graduated over 48,000 students worldwide in its first 26 years. In addition, DePorter’s company, Quantum Learning Network, trains teachers in these same learning techniques in schools throughout the United States.

SuperCamp targets its programs to specific age and grade levels. Junior Forum is for students entering grades 6-8, Senior Forum is for students entering grades 9-12 and Quantum U is for high school graduates through college seniors. A Youth Forum program is available in one location for kids entering grades 4 and 5.

This summer SuperCamp will be held at eight U.S. colleges: Stanford, Cornell, the University of Washington, Drake, The Claremont Colleges, Wake Forest, Cal State San Marcos and Colorado College.

Each camp balances academics with fun activities such as a ropes course and features a dynamic, interactive learning environment that maximizes the long-term retention of the information provided.
