Teen summer camps are popular, not only with teens, but with their parents, as well. In the case of SuperCamp’s teen summer camps, teen love the 10-day residential program that takes place at college campuses nationwide. A study with over 6,000 graduates of SuperCamp reveals that 73 percent of graduates report achieving higher grades after attending SuperCamp. A remarkable 98 percent of graduates indicate they continue to use the skills they learned following camp, 84 percent say their self-esteem improved and 81 percent note an increase in confidence.
There are two reasons why SuperCamp achieves these results, according to SuperCamp co-founder, Bobbi DePorter. “First, at SuperCamp, kids learn how to learn. We give them the tools to read and write better, study more effectively, and problem solve,” said DePorter. “Second, we create a series of mini-success moments for each kid, so they leave SuperCamp feeling more comfortable with who they are and more confident in their ability to succeed at anything they put their minds to.”
