Tony Gilroy Earns Director Nomination for “Michael Clayton” at 80TH Academy Awards

Tony Gilroy has a chance to collect his first Oscar Award on Feb. 24 after earning a nomination for Director for the film “Michael Clayton.”

Gilroy has earned two Academy Award nominations including his nomination for Original Screenplay for “Michael Clayton.”

Joining Tony Gilroy in the list of nominees for Director are Julian Schnabel, “The Diving Bell and the Butterfly”; Paul Thomas Anderson, “There Will Be Blood”; Jason Reitman, “Juno”; and Joel Coen and Ethan Coen, “No Country for Old Men.”

The 80^th Academy Awards will air Feb. 24 at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
