An integrated solid waste services company, Waste Connections is engaged in the provision of solid waste collection, transfer, disposal and recycling services in secondary markets throughout the Western and Southern United States, serving one million residential, commercial and industrial customers in 22 states.

The company reported having owned or operated 114 solid waste collection operations, 37 transfer stations, 26 recycling operations and 35 active landfills, as of December 31, 2006.
