“Michael Clayton” Nominated for Best Picture at 80TH Academy Awards

Sydney Pollack, Jennifer Fox and Kerry Orent have received Oscar nominations at the 80th Academy Awards for the Best Picture nominated film “Michael Clayton.”


Pollack will be looking for his third Oscar on Feb. 24. He has been nominated six times, collecting both his wins for “Out of Africa” in 1985. This is the first time Fox and Orent have been nominated for an Academy Award.


Joining “Michael Clayton” in the list of nominees for Best Picture are Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner and Paul Webster, “Atonement”; JoAnne Sellar, Paul Thomas Anderson and Daniel Lupi, “There Will Be Blood”; Lianne Halfon, Mason Novick and Russell Smith, “Juno”; and Scott Rudin, Ethan Coen and Joel Coen, “No Country for Old Men.”


The 80th Academy Awards will air Feb. 24 at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
